Frequently Asked Questions

What type of bikes do you fit?

You name it, we fit it. Most commonly we fit road bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and e-bikes; but we have fit recumbents and tricycles as well.

What do I need to bring?

Bring it all! Bring your bike, shoes and anything you typically ride in. This will provide us with the most accurate bike fit for the conditions you are regularly riding in.

Can I use insurance?

We accept various forms of insurance, call the Tailwind PT office [509-456-0888] to see if you are covered.

I don’t have any pain, do I still need a bike fit?

A bike fit is always necessary as you never know how comfortable a bike can be until you are properly fit. Bike fitting can promote injury prevention from poor alignment and can optimize your efficiency on the bicycle.

How long is a bike fit?

We schedule 1 hour blocks for each bike fit. Our philosophy is that bike fitting is fluid and occasionally needs a few visits to make large changes. This allows for your body to adapt to a new riding style each step of the way and leads to a better fit in the end.

I had a bike fit 3 years ago, do I really need a new fit?

The short answer is yes. It is highly recommended to get a new bike fit at least every 2 years. Whether you are recovering from an injury, changing as a rider, or getting a new bike or gear, there are always things to improve.
